TIMOTHY CARROLL - OFFICE OF THE CLERK OF THE HOUSE - The committee on Rules reports recommending the resolutions filed45 by Representative Peisch of Wellesley honoring partners for youth with disabilities on the occasion of its51 fortieth anniversary reports that the matter ought to be adopted.

CARROLL - The committee on Rules to whom was referred this day, the order filed by Speaker Mariano of Quincy, that precept to be issued by the speaker under the provisions of Section 141 of Chapter 54 of the general laws, appointing a time for the election to fill the vacancy existing in the office of Representative in the general court from the Third Bristol District shall be designated Tuesday, 06/10/2025 as the time ordered by the House for said election.

At the request of Representative Blais of Deerfield, will the members, guests, and employees stand for a moment of silent tribute for James Richardson who served as an elected assessor in the town of Shelburne from 1983 to 2022 and as elected tree warden from 1999 until his passing on 03/04/2025. The faithful husband of the late Nancy Churchill for 48 years, James devoted his life164 to his love of land, his love of family, and to the community where he was born, raised, and educated his entire life. He is widely remembered for his knowledge as an assessor, horticulturist, and an arborist, and as a dedicated town official in Shelbourne, always willing to help someone who needed support or to just lend a hand. James was someone who would never say no to a neighbor or a friend. In doing so, James touched the lives of more people, families, and friends than we will ever know. James is survived by his two daughters, Alyssa Collins and Amber Quinn and his son, Jacob Richardson, nine grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and in laws.
